Carolyn and Scott were married on July 29th, with a ceremony and reception at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. These two met back in February of 2013 when the big snowstorm Nemo hit Boston. At the time, they were both at a local Boston pub with friends. They spotted one another across the room, and that was it. Their romance took them on plenty of adventures together, but the biggest adventure was in Italy, where they got engaged. Scott had surprised Carolyn with the trip and proposed in a beautiful spot overlooking a beach.

The Omni Mount Washington Resort is a favorite in this area for weddings, especially because of the history behind it. Famous personalities from writers to presidents have all stayed here, and looking at the views, you can see why. The majestic mountains are a stunning backdrop for any event.

And while it’s always good to have a beautiful backdrop and venue for a wedding, the best part of being a wedding photographer is meeting couples like Carolyn and Scott, who showed such honest love for each other. During their first look you can see the excitement in their expressions. It’s that kind of genuine love that we strive to capture with every wedding.

Scott & Carolyn, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day. We wish you both nothing but the best in your new lives together. And a special thanks you to our vendor friends who helped make their day so special:

tower hill botanic garden wedding greg brett photography

Cassie and Bill were married on July 22nd at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, with their ceremony in the Secret Garden and reception in the beautiful Orangerie under the stars.

Bill and Cassie met through mutual friends at a birthday party at Cassie’s alma mater. They started dating by the next week and spent all their time falling deeper in love. On September 3rd, 2016, the two headed up to Legal Harborside to be with their friends. While they were there, Bill took Cassie to a private roof deck to propose to her and then took her out for a night on the town. He took time and care to make sure the night mirrored one of their very first dates. Cassie was completely blown away by the gesture.

Cassie and Bill had their ceremony in the Secret Garden. In keeping with its name, the Secret Garden was tucked away, hidden in the lowest terrace of the Lawn Garden. Like something out of a novel, guests found their way down the double staircase or gently sloping path to arrive in this beautiful garden. Cassie timed the ceremony perfectly, too. Scheduling the ceremony later in the day gave us the most amazing, warm light for formal portraits. Sunset photos are often the best images we capture all day, so the fact that Cassie had planned ahead for formal and wedding party pictures during this time made our job that much easier. We highly recommend planning your wedding to take advantage of the soft, flattering light before sunset. The images from this “golden hour” are simply beautiful.

The bride and groom couldn’t have chosen a better venue for their wedding. Tower Hill Botanic Garden is hidden away; a private gem that does a limited number of exclusive weddings each year. This venue is absolutely one of our favorites with it’s trails, natural stone patios, open plush green fields, and overall natural beauty. Their carefully cultivated gardens provided a backdrop of the most amazing array of blooming flowers. With the sprawling 171 acres of natural beauty, we were never at a loss for something to photograph.

From the first look with Cassie and her father to the couples first dance and parent dances, Cassie and Bill and their friends and family were a joy to work with. We also loved seeing their guests enjoying our open-air photo booth offering. A special thanks to our vendor friends who helped make their day so perfect:
